Reader comments

How readers leave comments after voting, and where you find them.

Updated

After a reader clicks a feedback link, they land on a short thank-you page. It has one optional text box where they can say more. Most readers just vote, and that’s fine.

  • Each vote can carry one comment.
  • Comments appear on the topic’s page, next to the vote they came with.
  • Readers don’t sign in to comment, so comments are anonymous unless a reader chooses to sign their name.

Tip: comments explain the votes. A burst of “Too long” with comments like “skimmed the second half” tells you something a number can’t.
