The "This week" summary
What the dashboard's weekly summary shows, and why a quiet week doesn't name a winner.
Updated
The This week card on your dashboard sums up the last 7 days in plain sentences:
- Votes in the last 7 days.
- Top topic: the topic with the most votes.
- What readers asked for more of: the topic whose fourth link (“More on this” by default, whatever you’ve renamed it to) got the most clicks.
- Best and weakest issue: among issues that got votes this week, the highest and lowest score. An issue is judged on all its votes, not only this week’s.
- Sponsored vs regular, once you have enough scored issues of each kind.
- Up to 3 new comments.
Quiet weeks
Under 20 votes, the card says how many votes came in and that it’s too early to call a winner, instead of naming a top topic from a handful of clicks. With no votes at all, it says so.
